BookWise was built by a mother-and-son team of degreed accountants who believe business owners deserve reliable numbers and responsive support. Lori brings more than 35 years of accounting experience through Controller-level positions, while Kyle brings more than 10 years of accounting experience helping businesses stay organized and informed.

Co-Founder
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Saint Louis University and bring more than 35 years of accounting experience, including Controller-level roles supporting businesses through different stages of growth.
Over the years, I’ve worked with startups, established companies, and service businesses across a variety of industries. That experience has given me practical insight into the challenges business owners face as accounting becomes more complex and financial processes evolve.
I enjoy stepping into situations that need organization, structure, and a clear path forward—whether that means improving processes, cleaning up accounting issues, or helping business owners gain confidence in their numbers.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me traveling, reading, or spending time with family and friends.

Kyle Padberg
Co-Founder
I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting, with a focus in Taxation, from Truman State University.
With more than 10 years of accounting experience, including preparing federal and state tax returns for businesses across the U.S. and working in corporate accounting environments, I bring a well-rounded perspective to financial management and business operations.
My goal is to help businesses stay organized while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and better understand their financial picture.
When I’m not working, I enjoy golfing, spending time with my wife Megan, and catching up with friends.
