QuickBooks Online Tip: Edit Transactions “In-Line” Without Starting Over

Did you know you can easily edit transactions right within QuickBooks Online—no need to delete and re-enter them?

For example, say you originally recorded a transaction as Rent Expense, but later realized it should actually be categorized as Office Supplies Expense. Instead of deleting the original entry and starting from scratch, you can simply:

1. Pull up the transaction

2. Click Edit

3. Change the account to the correct category

4. Save it again

It’s a quick and painless way to keep your books accurate without extra hassle.
